Demarcate
Demarcate is an open collaboration between UK based
multidisciplinary artist, shado and Finland-Belgium based interdisciplinary
artist, lau. In our research we reply to the current climate change crisis through
upcycling and community processes. We want to encourage questions
around territories and reintroduce healthier and closer relationships with
plants, materials and others.
The performativity of 'Holding Each Other' is thought in response to the Cypriot region, craft making, as well as its motifs.
With the short performances holding each other, the interdependent relationship is visualised holding violence and care.
Composition of the Landscape
We exposed the juice of the plant bodies to the midnight sun, to see if they would act photochromatic, through our interactions with the plant bodies and waters in Kilpisjärvi.
